In this day and age, relying solely on a password to secure your account is a risky approach, as it can easily fall victim to cyber-attacks. eformsign’s 2-step verification<\/strong> feature enhances security by requiring an additional verification method, including Google Authenticator<\/strong>, email verification<\/strong>, or SMS verification<\/strong>, alongside your password. This added layer of protection ensures the security of your and your company members’ accounts, electronic signatures, and documents. This blog will guide you on enabling 2-step verification<\/strong> in eformsign for all members in your company and only for your account, setting up Google Authenticator<\/strong> for your account, and changing the verification method for 2-step verification<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Enabling ‘2-step verification’ for all members in your company<\/a><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

You can enable 2-step verification<\/strong> for all members in your company or only for your account. The following instructions describe how to enable the feature for all members in your company.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

  1. Log in to eformsign as the company administrator<\/strong>.<\/li>
  2. Navigate to the\u00a0Manage company<\/strong>\u00a0>\u00a0Security settings<\/strong>\u00a0>\u00a0Login settings<\/strong>\u00a0menu.\u00a0<\/li>
  3. Click the toggle button for 2-step verification<\/strong> to enable the feature. This will enable 2-step verification<\/strong> for all members. It will automatically log out all members’ accounts and subsequent logins will require 2-step verification.
    *Only the company administrator<\/strong> can enable 2-step verification<\/strong> for all members in your company.
    *The default verification method is set to Google Authenticator<\/strong>, which needs to be set up before you can use it. If you have not set it up yet, read the section Setting up Your Google Authenticator<\/strong> below for instructions.<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n

    Setting up Your ‘Google Authenticator’<\/a><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

    As mentioned above, to use Google Authenticator<\/strong> as a verification method, you need to set it up first as described in the instructions below.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    1. Open the sidebar menu and then click the See more<\/strong> icon.<\/li>
    2. Navigate to My Profile<\/strong> > Security <\/strong>and click Set up<\/strong> next to Google Authenticator<\/strong>.<\/li>
    3. Send a verification code to your email address\/mobile number by clicking the Send<\/strong> button. Then, enter the verification code and click Next<\/strong>.<\/li>
    4. Scan the QR code with the Google Authenticator<\/strong> app to finish the setup.

      Changing the verification method<\/a><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

      Google Authenticator<\/strong> is set as the default verification method, but you can change it to another method (email verification<\/strong> and SMS verification<\/strong>) as described in the instructions below.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      1. Log in to eformsign as the company administrator<\/strong>.<\/li>
      2. Navigate to the\u00a0Manage company<\/strong>\u00a0>\u00a0Security settings<\/strong>\u00a0>\u00a0Login settings<\/strong>\u00a0menu\u00a0<\/li>
      3. Ensure that the 2-step verification<\/strong> feature is enabled, as the verification method can only be changed when the feature is enabled.<\/li>
      4. Click Change<\/strong> next to Verification method settings<\/strong>.<\/li>
      5. Select the verification method and click Save<\/strong> to change the
        *Only the company administrator<\/strong> can change the Verification method<\/strong>.
        *The verification method applies to all members in the company and cannot be applied to an individual member.

        Enabling two-step verification only for your account<\/a><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

        If the company administrator enables 2-step verification<\/strong> for all members in your company, then a member cannot disable it. However, if 2-step verification<\/strong> is disabled by the company administrator<\/strong>, then you can enable it only for your account as described in the below instructions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

        1. As a member or company administrator<\/strong>, log in to eformsign.<\/li>
        2. Open the sidebar menu and then click the See more<\/strong> (3 vertical dots) icon.<\/li>
        3. Navigate to My Profile<\/strong> > Security <\/strong>and click the toggle button for 2-step verification<\/strong> to enable the feature.<\/li>
        4. This will enable 2-step verification <\/strong>only for your account. However, the verification method set by the company administrator<\/strong> in the Manage company<\/strong> > Security settings<\/strong> > Login settings<\/strong> menu will be applied by default. To change it, ask the company administrator<\/strong> to change it to another method.<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n

          Logging in with 2-step verification<\/a><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

          Once 2-step verification<\/strong> is enabled, whether for all members in your company or only for you, you can log in with 2-step verification as<\/strong> described in the below instructions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

          1. As a member or company administrator<\/strong>, enter your email address or ID and password and click the Login<\/strong> button.<\/li>
          2. Enter the verification code sent to your email\/mobile number or the Google Authenticator<\/strong> verification code according to the verification method selected by the company administrator<\/strong>.
