When you fill out a form, there may be some fields you must fill out like the signer’s name and signature. This article shows you how to set required fields in an eformsign template<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u26a0 If you do not fill out the required fields when creating a document, you cannot submit the document. <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

How to set required fields<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

  1. Log in to eformsign.<\/li>
  2. Go to the Manage templates<\/strong> menu in the sidebar.<\/li>
  3. Click the settings icon (\"\") of the desired template to go to the Design form<\/strong> screen.<\/li>
  4. Click the component (field) you want to set as a required one.<\/li>
  5. Tick the check box under Required<\/strong> in Who can fill this out<\/strong>. Make sure that you tick the check box of the desired workflow step. Note that in order to tick the Required<\/strong> check box, the Allowed<\/strong> check box must be ticked.<\/li>
  6. Click the [Save<\/strong>] button at the top right corner of the screen.<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n
    Q. <\/strong> What’s the difference between an Allowed and Required field?<\/strong>

    \u25fe Allowed<\/strong>: The participant can fill in the field or make changes to the value entered. However, the participant can still send or submit documents without filling in the field.
    \u25fe Required<\/strong>: The participant must fill in the field and cannot send or submit documents without filling it in.<\/td><\/tr><\/tbody><\/table><\/figure>\n\n\n\n
